Charlotte Williams
– Charlotte graduated in 1999 from the The Department of Physiotherapy, University of Birmingham, with a BSc (Hons) degree in physiotherapy.
In 2003 Charlotte joined the Guys and St Thomas’ community neurological service becoming a highly specialist neurological physiotherapist in 2005. Having worked in the Stroke Early Discharge team, Charlotte has the knowledge and understanding of the complexities of transitioning from hospital to home after a stroke. Charlotte also has vast experience working with clients with long term neurological conditions at home, in the community and in an outpatient setting. Specialist skills are creating environments that promote rehabilitation to achieve an individual’s goals and optimise independence.
Charlotte’s approach is to enable and empower the client, family and carers to realise their potential through goal setting and to explore and implement self-management strategies. Charlotte understands the benefits of supporting and educating individuals and those involved in their rehab journey for best outcome. Post graduate training has included FES, Bobath and Bridges Stroke Self Management.
Charlotte is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Health Professions Council and Association of Physiotherapists interested in Neurology.
